Jac Fitz-enz is acknowledged worldwide as the father of human capital strategic analysis and measurement. Pioneered human capital benchmarking and performance measurement in the 1970s.  He published the first human resources metrics in 1978. Dr. Fitz-enz has published 13 books and over 400 articles on measurement and strategic management. He has trained more than 100,000 managers in 46 countries. His monthly column, Leading Edge, appears in Talent Management journal. His latest book (November 2012) is titled Human Capital Analytics. Some of his honors include:

 • On 4 November 2004, Dr Fitz-enz was inducted as a Fellow into the National Academy of Human Resources.  The Academy, founded in 1992, is the organization where individuals of distinction in human resources are recognized for professional achievement by being elected as “Fellows”.  Fellows are widely known as leaders within the profession, having meritorious national reputations for shaping thinking and policy, and have demonstrated an unfailing commitment to success.  This is the highest honor that a human resources professional can attain.  It recognizes Dr Jac’s nearly 3 decades of work in the United States and over 40 other countries dedicated to advancing the management of human capital • Honoured in 2005 as a “Legend” by the American Society for Training & Development • In 2006, IHRIM presented Dr. Jac with the Chairman’s Award for Innovative Excellence in Information Management • In 2007, he was cited as one of the top five "HR Management Gurus" by HR World • SHRM chose him as one of the 50 persons who in the past 50 years have "significantly changed what HR does and how it does it" • Proclaimed to be amongst the smartest thinkers including Abraham Maslow, Frederick Herzberg, Peter Drucker, Henry Mintzberg and Tom Peters •
