ANTONIO NIETO-RODRIGUEZ

The World's Leading
Champion of Project Management
and Strategy Implementation
ANTONIO NIETO-RODRIGUEZ is one of the most influential thinkers in management and leadership today.
Highly regarded as one of the world’s leading experts in project management and strategy execution, Antonio is the creator of concepts such as the Hierarchy of Purpose featured by Harvard Business Review, and the Project Revolution; which asserts that Projects are the lingua franca of the business and personal worlds from the C-suite to managing your career or relationships. He is credited for having transformed project management into one of the central issues in the global CEOs’ 2020 agenda.
Antonio’s work focuses on advising senior leaders on how to lead transformational change; prioritize and implement strategic initiatives; build high-performing teams; work across silos and become a learning organization; all essential elements to create a culture that strives for execution, excellence and collaboration. Antonio is an expert on the execution of organizational ambidexterity. While most of today’s academic research on organizational ambidexterity focus on theory rather than practice, Antonio has developed and road-tested an execution framework for leaders to achieve organizational ambidexterity.
Antonio is a visiting professor in leading business schools, including Duke Corporate Education, IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa), Solvay Business School, Moscow School of Management (Skolkovo), Ecole des Ponts and Vlerick. He has served as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, and is currently on the Global Board of Directors of the Project Management Institute, the largest project management association in the world. Antonio also serves as the Director, Head of Project Management Office at GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines.
Antonio is Thinkers50's 2017 Winner of the “Ideas Into Practice” Distinguished Achievement Award. This award celebrates the individual whose ideas have successfully lead organizational change, putting new ideas to work.
